A very successful Easter Fun Camp was held over the last 3 days! Despite the rain, the Arena held 131 children for a skills full camp. There were smiles all round each day.

A massive thank you to Tommy Liddy for organising such a great camp for all the kids. Also, the camp wouldn’t have been possible without the coaches: Paul Corry, Niamh Lyons, Dara Casey, Colm Flynn, Aidan O’Connor, Emma Stanley, Kiah Mellett, Dara Fitzgerald, Seamus O’Connell, David Kennedy and Aoibhín McNamara, many thanks to you all!

The children who attended the camp met Clare Hurling Hero’s; Seadna Morey, Cathal Malone, Adam Hogan, Shane Meehan and Tony Kelly. A big thank you to all the county players for coming out to visit the camp!

The Clare Hurlers shared many tips with the kids… here’s a little insight for you all to follow!!

Seadna and Cathal mentioned how lucky we are in Sixmilebridge with all our facilities and to make sure that you get down to the pitch as much as possible to practice all skills with friends..

Adam and Shane noted the importance of improving your first touch, getting out to a wall and practicing off the right and left as much as possible!

Tony Kelly mentioned the key to how “he’s so good” the 4 tips he advised were; 1. Eat healthy 2. Get enough sleep 3. Drink around 2 litres of water a day 4. Have all gear ready the morning before a match. All of the boys and girls mentioned how his touch was top class and he was moving around the arena like a teenager!

Once again a massive thank you to everyone involved in organising such a fantastic camp for all of the kids!

We are already anticipating next year’s Easter Fun Camp!👏🏻👏🏻
