Sixmilebridge 3-18 Smith O'Briens 1-09

The Bridge finished out their Junior B league campaign with a 15 point home win against Smith O'Briens last Saturday week. There was a wide scatter of scorers which included:

While the first half was evenly match the Bridge went in 2 ahead on a score of 2-4 v 1-5. Following some stern words at half time Mikey Corbett rallied his troops to finish strong and round off a satisfying league campaign. Speaking after the game Corbett commented "It was disappointing to lose the first game to the Banner but the lads have put in a great effort to get back to winning ways but at the same time we have to try and ensure we carry this scoring form into the championship. Jim Spaight from my management team was missing tonight as he was away in Spain checking out a venue for our Pre Championship training camp and its just as well as he would not have been happy with our performance in the first half. We will knuckle down now and get ready for the big one in a few weeks time."
