Sixmilebridge & Clare camogie star Chloe Morey has announced that she will be taking a break from Intercounty Camogie for the 2020 season as she aims to rebuild and recover from a spate of injuries throughout her long career. Morey suffered the dreaded cruciate knee injury in 2013 and recovered to play in 2014 but has suffered a number of niggling injuries throughout 2019 which delayed her appearance in the Clare jersey for this year.

Chloe who is a super role model for young people and is one of the most dedicated sports stars in Clare won an all star in 2013 and was nominated again in 2016 which is just reward for the time dedicated to her sport. She confirmed she is not finished and is merely taking a break and will line out for the Bridge in 2020 when she hopes to be back in action come late spring time and we all look forward to seeing he trademark Stars & Stripes bandanna back in the Clare colours in the very near future. 2019 was a super year for her household when she won a Senior B camogie title while brothers Caimin & Alex were instrumental in the Bridge winning the Canon for the 14th time with Alex finishing top scorer in the Clare Senior Hurling Championship 2019.
