Kilmurry and St. Finnachtas will do battle in the final of the 2022 Parish League in O' Garney Park, next Wednesday Evening. The game will be played under lights.

The warmup act on the night will be the U9 Parish League Final where our U9s who have been training hard all winter will play with 2 teams, one wearing the Kilmurry School Jerseys and the other wearing Sixmilebridge school jerseys!

The 2022 Parish League in Lees Road, Ennis has been very enjoyable and the venue provided an excellent playing surface for the pre season competition. The switch to grass for the Final might be a hard adjustment for some and may favour the more seasoned hurlers!

There has already been controversy in the lead up to the final - the appointed referee for the game was disputed by Kilmurry. The appointed referee, Kevin Corry has an exemplary refereeing record and has refereed a number of games in the Parish League already but Kilmurry alleged that due to his close links with a number of Finnachtas players that he might not be impartial on the night. Corry refuted this stating he has always refereed games fairly but in the interest of avoiding controversy has said he will stand aside this time! He will be ably replaced by Kieran Liddane the clubs other referee who couldnt referee in the Parish League to date as he was playing with the Mountain!

Over the course of the 9 games to date, there has been a huge amount of hurling done. Below are the results to date for the teams in the Final and the League table. The final league game between Finnachtas and Kilmurry due to be played in Round 5 was rolled over for the Parish League final as both could not be caught at that stage.
