Outgoing Clare senior hurling supremo Anthony Daly has been earmarked as the manager in-waiting for another term by a leading member of the Banner county board.
With the Clare GAA County Board set to have a meeting on Tuesday evening next, it seems almost certain that Daly will be handed a third year in charge of the Munstermen.
"There has been no talk of retirement of any players in the county," said Clare PRO Des Crowe.
"It also looks like the status quo of the management is to remain.
"It is understood to be a case of just making the announcement," Crowe added.
It is also understood that should Daly remain in the hot seat he is likely to want his erstwhile backroom team of Fr. Harry Bohan, Alan Cunningham and trainer Johnny Glynn to stay on board as well.
Clare’s hopes of gaining success in 2006 were boosted last week when star player Brian Lohan confirmed his availability for the coming year.
