Post Box For Kilmurry

Kilmurry is to get a post box to facilitate locals following the closure of its post office a number of months ago. A letter from An Post operations manager Mike Carey was read at last week’s Shannon Area Council meeting regarding an earlier call for a post box. Mr Carey said he had considered and was happy to go along with the request. “I would appreciate it if you could provide details of where this box would be located, or a contact in the village who could act as a liaison with me regarding the location, so I can make arrangements to have this box erected on receipt,” he told the Council.
