A goal & a point in the last three minutes by Shay Malone gave Corofin/Ruan a hard earned victory over Sixmilebridge in this highly entertaining & high scoring u16 game at Corofin on Tuesday evening. The bridge led 3-6 to 1-11 at the break with full forward Eoin Flynn in splendid form notching 3 goals and 5 points. However the concession of easy frees was costing the bridge the amalgamations Conal Hainifein on hand to punish every indiscretion .The second half was very exciting and it looked like the bridge would hang on but a free from o'Hainifein was doubled to the bet by Malone who added a further point in injury time to give the points to the north Clare men. For the bridge Shane McInerney was excellent as centre field & then at centre back, while Cathoir Agnew & Eoin Flynn were other to impress. Corofin/Ruan were best served by Michael Daffy, Conal O’Hainifein & Liam O’Donovan & Malone who broke the visitor’s hearts.
