It’s hard to believe that it’s only May. Since January, our U15 Camogie team have had 58 training sessions, 11 Winter Athletic Development sessions with Morey Movement, 7 Challenge games, 7 U15 A Championship matches, 5 U15 Academy matches, 3 Féile matches, Community games, Paintballing team building event, Movember Ahead of the Game mental health workshop, held a successful St Patrick’s day Raffle and Bake Sale and had a lot of fun!
On Friday night, our Academy team played St. Joseph’s Doora Barefield in the Academy final. It was a game with plenty of skill on display from both sides, and the ‘Bridge girls showed great heart to come away with the silverware on the night.
Afterwards, the Academy team and U15 A team celebrated their end of season with Pizzas from Food Cottage and Cookies from Whisks by Donna. Many thanks to both of these wonderful local businesses who are a great support to our club.
Our u14s will now continue to prepare for their U14 Championship which begins in July while our u15 girls will contest the u16 championship later in the year.
Best of luck to both groups and well done on a superb year so far.
