The  U10 squad had a day to remember as they travelled to Sarsfields, Cork for the Donal Buckley Tournament. With 25 eager players making the journey, the club fielded two teams that competed with great skill throughout the day. 

Each team played three matches, facing strong opposition from Monaleen, Doora Barefield, and the host club, Sarsfields, Cork. Despite the tough competition, the lads rose to the occasion, showcasing fantastic teamwork and determination that saw them win the Tournament. 

The day was about more than just results, though. Every player gave their all and thoroughly enjoyed the occasion. After the matches, the boys were treated to well-earned hot food. Coaches and parents were also extremely well looked after, with top-class facilities and hospitality from the hosts. 

Captaining the teams on the day were PJ Lyons and Mark Lynch, who led by example both on and off the pitch. A special word of thanks goes to all the parents who travelled to support the players, it was greatly appreciated. 

There’s already plenty of excitement for the return fixture, with Sarsfields Cork set to make the trip up to the 'Bridge in late August.
