Sixmilebridge 2-12
Parteen Meelick

Venue - Kilkishen
Referee - Eoghan O'Leary

The Junior B2 team needed a win to keep their championship hope alive, but along with a win they needed to win by 10 points and required Broadford to win in the other fixture in the group, against Clarecastle. Well as it turned out the Bridge did win, Broadford did win but unfortunately the Bridges winning margin was 6 points and not 10, a gallant effort in their final game but alas not enough to progress. It was good for this group to finish on a hogh after a few defeats.

At half time the Bridge trailed a Parteen Meelick by 0-9 to 1-2, the Bridge goal coming from Michael O'Halloran. The points courtesy of 2 frees from Tommy Liddy.

The 2nd half saw the Bridge really up the ante on the scoring front and they added a further goal from Paul Corbett, 3 points from play from Noel Flynn as well as frees from goalie Stevie Mulready (2), Michel O'Halloran (2) and another from Liddy. The other scorers in the second half were Peter Gilligan, Paul Corbett & Gary O'Callaghan with single points and Cathal Ahern with a couple.

Good on the day for the Bridge were the Gilligan bothers Will and Peter aswell as Cathal Ahern, Michael O'Halloran and Noel Flynn.

Well done to the group and hard luck on mnot making the knockout stages.
