Munster Schools Hurling Competitions are now starting up

St. Caimins Community School
Last week St Caimins headed to UL for the first round of the Munster Colleges U17B Hurling Championship.
Despite a big performance they ran out 5 point losers to Clonmel High School on a score of 3-14 to 4-16.



Meanwhile the U15 hurlers are busy preparing for the U15 Schools competition starting this week when they face Ard Scoil at 7PM on Tuesday night in Caherlohan. earleir that day the Senior hurlers will face Kanturk in the first round of the Munster schools U19C competition.


St. Caimins 1st years made a return to Flannans last week for a hurling blitz - The school had 2 teams and included our own JJ Quigley and Dylan O Halloran on one team and Matty Maxwell on the other team.
Both teams played games against St. Annes Killaloe, St. Flannans, Ennistymon and Rice College.


St Patricks Comprehensive
the Comp 1st year hurlers were in Flannans recently for a second blitz where they played the hosts, Ennistymon and Rice College. We had solid displays form Rhys Feehan, Jack Willis, Kevin How and Oran Casey on the day.

St. Flannans College
Last week St Flannans College with Conor Keogh in their squad lost out to Midleton CBS on a score of 5-11 to 1-18 in Knocklong in Round 1 of the Dean Ryan - Munster Colleges U17A Hurling.
The school are in Harty Cup action this week in Round 1 against Nenagh CBS in Moylish Campus at 1:30 on Wednesday. Stephen Gavin is in the squad.
The 1st years with Matthew Murphy on the squad are training away under the supervision of Clare legends Mr. Kelly and Mr. O'Connor and recently had a good workout against St. Kierans of Kilkenny.

Ard Scoil Rís
St Kierans of Kilkenny visited Limerick last week and Alex Russell, Sean Finnin and Donncha Heffernan made their debut for the Ennis Road School.

Tulla
In recent weeks Tulla were defeated by St. Flannans in the Clare U17 Hurling competition.
Cathal Ryan (Wing Back) & Joe Reidy (Sub) were part of the Tulla side while Conor Keogh was between the posts for St. Flannans College.
