This years Minor hurling Championship is set to be one of the most wide open Championships in a long time given that there have been different winners of the major competitions for this age group up along with Clooney/Quin (Clare Feile 2024). Cratloe (U14A 2023 & U15A 2024), Inagh/Kilnamona (U13A 2022 & U16A 2025) while Doora Barefield and Clarecastle have contested a number of these finals also. The Bridge will also be in the shakeup having won the Minor Championship and the U15 Championship and Feile in 2025.

In preparation for the Championship the Minor (U17) league will again take place this year and the draw was made no Monday night for the competition.

U 17 A
Group 1:
Ballyea, Clarecastle, Doora Barefield, Sixmilebridge
Group 2: Clooney Quin, Corofin Ruan, Eire Og, Inagh Kilnamona

Competition Dates, Rd 1 Sun Mar 1st. Rd 2 Sun Mar 8th. Rd 3 Sun Mar 22nd. Semi-finals Sun Apr 12th.  the Final Sun Apr 26th.
Top 2 from each group plays crossover semi-finals Team 1 Group 1 v Team 2 Group 2  Team 1 Group 2 v Team 2 Group 1,with home advantage for both 1st. placed Teams, with the 2 winners playing the final at a neutral venue.
Shield competition will be Team 3 Group 1 v Team 4 Group 2 Team 3 Group 2 v Team 4 Group 1, with both 3rd. placed Teams at home venue. The 2 winners will play the Shield Final with a Toss for venue between the clubs involved.

Group 1:
Broadford Bodyke, Feakle Killanena, Newmarket on Fergus, Scariff Ogonnelloe, Smith O Briens
Group 2: Clonlara, Cratloe, Crusheen Tubber, Kilmaley

U 17 C

Group 1:  Ennistymon, O C Mills, Parteen Meelick, The Banner, Whitegate, Wolfe Tones

Competition regulations
15 a side competition.
30 minutes a half
Full size pitch
Size 5 Sliothar
Unlimited substitutes will be allowed for this competition.
Failure to fulfil fixtures (conceding a walk-over) will result in clubs been
fined €200 per game
Clubs must play without their county U 17 minor players, Celtic Challenge players are allowed to play with their clubs.
In general, no postponements (games may be brought forward but not put back)
If there are outstanding games, for any reason then these fixtures must be played before the last round
All last rounds of games will be on the same day and at the same time.
This will be strictly adhered to.
Any changes to fixtures have to be agreed between both clubs and emailed to me by both clubs outlining the new agreed date the week before the fixture is due to take place.
All deferred games have to be played before the last round of fixtures so that all the last round of fixtures can go ahead on the same evening at the same time.
