Declan Murphy Derra

Club members were saddened to hear yesterday of the passing of Declan Murphy, Derra. Declan was a former officer of the club serving as Chairman and Vice Chairman. Declan had been a great help to the club for a long number of years, especially as an advisor on Club Grounds and Club Development. His expert knowledge about field matters was valued by the club be they draianage, seeding, fertilising and sanding. Declan, a farm advisor with Teagasc was well known far and wide in Clare and surrounding Counties. He was a great supporter of the club as indeed was his family.
