The Bridge entered this game requiruing a win to reach the semi final of the championship. Any other result could have meant exiting the championship or just reaching a qarter final. 

A wet morning meant conditions were slippery but nonetheless the Bridge started well with Stopfan Fitzpatrick managing to find himself in plenty of space for the games opening two points. Tommy Liddyfollowed with the next 6 points, 5 from frees before Fitzpatrick landed his third point of the day. Liddy landed another from play, a '65 and a further free along with points from Duck Devanney and Liam Sweeney. Danny Scullion landed the Bridge goal finishing off a fine move batting the ball to the net after a great pass across to him. Ballyea on the other hand managed a couple of points from play in the opening half from underage Bridge coach Barry Coffey leaving the Bridge in a commanding position at halftime leading 1-14 to 0-2.

The second half saw Ballyea put 4 more points on the board and the Bridge added 3, all from Liddy, 2 from placed balls. 

A good team performance and best for the Bridge on the day were Fitzpatrick and Liddy in the forwards as well as Paddy Lynch, Mark O'Donovan and Oisin Casey in the backs.

A semi final now beckons for this group in 4 weeks time after the quarter finals are played.
