Our Intermediate team took to the field in Cratloe on Sunday in the first round of championship, where Newmarket provided the opposition.

The 'Bridge had a tough first half against the 'Blues who were determined and led at half time on a scoreline of 2-7 to 0-8. The 'Bridge however showed great resolve and came out in the second half and turned the game on its head, tacking on 10 scores to Newmarkets 2 scores to eventually runout as winners on a scoreline of 0-18 to 2-9.

Good for the 'Bridge on the day were Oisin Breen at full back, a big step up for the 19 year old, who battled hard all day. Also Colm Flynn in various positions and the experienced Kevin Lynch, Evan McInerney and Alan Mulready.

Next up for the Intermediates will be Parteen Meelick in Cratloe on Friday the 11th August at 645pm.
