Sixmilebridge 1-17
Clarecastle 4-14

Venue - Newmarket
Referee - Fergal Gray

Our Junior As were in action against a strong Clarecastle side on Sunday in Newmarket. A stong wind prevailed and the 'Bridge led by 4 points at half time on scoreline of 1-12 to 2-5. Daniel Chaplin with the first half goal.

The second half saw the 'Bridge play against a gale and coupled with Clarecastles strength on the ball it proved to be a great battle in an entertaining game. Ultimately Clarecastle were able to pull away in the closing minutes with 'Bridge chasing goals to catch up. The Clarecastle goals proved the difference in the end.

Good for the 'Bridge were David O' Conor who worked hard and especially in the second half as he came out the field when the 'Bridge were playing against the wind.

Next up for the Junior As will be the Banner, and this game is fixed for Newmarket at 12pm on Sunday the 13th August.
