Seniors Record first league win against Eire Og

Clare Cup Division 1B, Round 3
Sixmilebridge 1-18
Éire Óg 1-12

Venue -O’Garney Park
Referee - Eoghan O'Leary

The Bridge recorded their first win the Clare Cup against Eire Og in O'Garney Park on Saturday last. At half time the Tonwies led by a goal at 1-9 to 0-9. But the Bridge flight back in the second half to take the win by 6 points in the end, a 9 point turnaround.

Featuring a nice blend of youth and experience the backs really got on top in the second half. David Kennedy contributed the goal for the Bridge and there were good scoring contributions from play from Calum & Zak Phelan, Seadna Morey with 2 points, Lorcan Fitzpatrick, Shane Golden also with 2 points, Rory Chaplin, Luke O'Halloran, Conor Deasy and Brian Corry. From placed balls, the scoreboard was kept ticking over from Rory Chaplin with five and Zak Phelan with one point.

Well done to the younger players including Rory Chaplin with his first senior game and also to Zak, Calum, Dylan and Jack.
